Shot2Copy is a Chrome extension that lets users capture the current visible area, capture a full page, and copy a website's favicon. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension handles and how that data is used.
1. What Shot2Copy Does
Shot2Copy processes webpage content only when the user explicitly triggers one of its features, such as:
- Capturing the visible area of the current page
- Capturing the full page
- Copying a website favicon
- Opening a local preview page for manual copy when needed
- Running a short delayed capture requested by the user
2. What Data the Extension Handles
When a user uses the extension, Shot2Copy may handle:
- The content of the current webpage needed to generate a screenshot
- The current page URL and favicon URL needed to resolve and fetch the favicon
- Temporary image data generated from screenshots or favicon files
- Temporary local state needed to support delayed capture, preview, and clipboard flows
3. How Data Is Used
Shot2Copy uses this data only to provide its user-facing features:
- Generate screenshots requested by the user
- Copy screenshots or favicon images to the system clipboard
